Equine gastroscopy is a diagnostic procedure used to examine the interior of a horse’s stomach. This technique involves the insertion of a flexible endoscope through the horse’s esophagus and into the stomach. The gastroscope is equipped with a camera, allowing our veterinarians to visualize the stomach lining in real-time and identify any abnormalities. Gastroscopy is primarily used to diagnose and assess various gastrointestinal issues such as ulcers and stomach impactions, enabling targeted treatment.
